Journal and planning

Your experience
belongs in the picture.

Your sleep and heart rate can tell one part of the story. Journal makes room for how you feel, what you did and the habits you want to understand.

Notice the things a wearable cannot.

Track your energy, mood and habits with Stride Journal, explore recovery associations and plan adaptable sessions. Journal and Plan are Stride PRO features.

Check in with yourself.

Record your energy, mood and habits. The entries describe your experience rather than trying to infer it from a sensor. A brief check-in can add context when you look back.

You choose what to record. A skipped entry is missing information, not evidence that a habit did not happen. Consistent, honest notes are more useful than trying to make every day look ideal.

Explore associations carefully.

Stride can compare reported habits with next-day recovery when sufficient observations are available. It shows uncertainty so that a visible pattern is not mistaken for a proven effect.

Workload, sleep timing, illness and other unrecorded influences may move together. A correlation cannot tell you that changing one habit caused a recovery score to change.

Turn reflection into a flexible plan.

Use Plan to choose sessions, intensity and duration. Update the plan and mark what you complete. The aim is to make the next step manageable, with room for your circumstances.

Journal entries and planned sessions are separate from imported wearable readings. A note is your report; a plan is your intention; a recorded workout is a source record.

Keep control of your records.

Journal and Plan editing are PRO features. Existing entries remain readable when membership ends, and account data controls remain available. You can export records or request account deletion.

Account, journal and plan records use Stride account storage. They are not covered by the separate on-device handling of imported Apple Health readings. Read the privacy policy for the distinction.
