Stride reads compatible health records with your permission. Device, source and platform availability matter.
Current iOS development builds include a read-only Apple Health integration. Apple Watch and other devices can contribute when their companion apps write compatible records to Apple Health. Stride does not connect directly to these devices.
Available record types include sleep, heart rate, HRV, resting heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen, wrist temperature, steps, energy, workouts and VO₂ when the device and source provide them. Not every wearable supplies every type.
Connect through Settings → Data sources → Apple Health, review the explanation and select permissions in Apple’s sheet. Stride reads up to 60 days of available records. A missing record is not treated as a zero reading.
Imported Apple Health readings are read locally and held in the app’s session view. They are not uploaded to Stride’s servers or copied into its persistent cache. Your account, profile, Journal and Plan are separate and use account storage.
Current Apple Health support is an iOS development capability. Physical-device acceptance and final public availability remain part of release testing.
Apple Health connection helpStride’s Google Health connection reads compatible Fitbit records from the service after you give permission. Sync your tracker in its companion app before refreshing Stride.
This is a cloud data connection, not direct Bluetooth pairing. The records available depend on the device, eligible Google account, permissions and what Google makes available.
The integration remains in testing. Restricted-data approval and any required reviews must be completed before public access. Some accounts may need to be part of the test audience. Repeating consent does not bypass a restriction. Live Fitbit Air compatibility remains under verification.
Google Health records use Stride’s backend processing and account storage. Their handling differs from the on-device Apple Health session view. See the data-sharing explanation.
Google Health connection helpIf you connect both sources, choose Use Apple Health or Use Google Health. That selection drives Today, Trends and the source-based estimates.
Stride does not add together steps, nights and workouts from both sources. This avoids double counting. Changing the source can require a new personal baseline and may change the available history.
There is no direct WHOOP, Garmin, Oura or Android Health Connect integration. A device’s ability to write some records into Apple Health does not establish full compatibility with every Stride feature.

Google Play availability is planned. Public distribution and full feature or purchase parity have not been announced.
The marketing website is separate from the app. It does not connect to your wearable, import health data or sign you into a Stride account.
See availabilityCheck whether the source app recorded the reading, whether the device has synced, whether the relevant permissions are enabled and whether Stride has refreshed the selected source. Some metrics require enough prior observations before an estimate can be calculated.
On Apple Health, Stride cannot distinguish permission denial from the absence of a record. On Google Health, partial updates can leave some measures older than others. Read the app’s last-update and sync messages.
A missing stage, HRV value or oxygen reading may be a device limitation. Reconnecting cannot create a measurement the source never recorded.
